My work explores social issues that affect me personally. By engaging others in conversation through my creative process, I hope to create a community of shared learning and resilience and to celebrate diversity and strength of the human spirit.

My art is influenced by post-modern philosophy, feminist and queer political art, and Chicano-Catholic artistic traditions. Collaboration, text, and simple linear visual qualities are common traits in my work.

In school, I studied printmaking and art history, and the organizing principles of these areas permeate my career and worldview to this day.
